-
The ground must be cleaned thoroughly before laying of the Court Mat

Welding - Hot Welding

Each full-size court is constructed by joining four rolls of HUNDRED mats using a precision welding method, ensuring a seamless finish and superior durability under intense play conditions

Before welding the Hundred Court Mat, the welding and slotting areas must be thoroughly cleaned
-
Make a slot on the surface of the sports floor by hand or by machine
-
The temperature shall not be less than 500°C during hot welding, which can be achieved manually or with a fully-automatic machine
-
Prior to welding, test the temperature and speed with a short welding line
-
After the welding seam cools, eliminate the excessive welding with the following steps:
Cleaning and Maintenance
Daily Care: Vacuum Cleaning
-
Thorough vacuuming of the entire court is essential to ensure that all dust particles are completely removed before proceeding to the next step
-
Mopping over dust can cause it to become embedded in the mat surface
-
Use a microfiber dust mop or a soft push broom to clean the mat surface daily
-
This helps remove dust, shoe marks, and debris that can lead to surface abrasion
Damp Mopping (Mild Moisture Use)
-
Mix a mild neutral pH cleaner with water in a 2% solution (i.e., 20 ml of cleaner per 1 litre of water)
-
Use a well-wrung soft mop to avoid excess water
-
Only 50% water should be in the cloth
-
Never pour water directly on the mat surface
-
Ensure no water seeps into the mat seams or edges
-
Player sweat contains salt deposits which should be immediately wiped off with the above solution
Humidity & Moisture Control
-
Keep the playing area well-ventilated and humidity levels below 65%
-
Use dehumidifiers in damp conditions to prevent moisture buildup under or around the mats
Monthly Care: Mandatory Monthly Checks
-
Inspect seams, corners, and under-mat conditions
-
Look for wooden block uprooting and mend immediately if noticed
-
If you find an issue, immediately contact your local installation team and consult
Avoid These Common Mistakes
-
Do not use harsh chemicals, acidic cleaners, or bleach-based products
-
Avoid using abrasive scrubbers or hard brushes
-
Do not drag heavy equipment, Net poles or furniture across the surface
-
Never leave wet items, damp towels, or water bottles lying on the mat for long periods
-
Never allow players to play with bare foot
-
Never allow players to play with any shoes except good quality non-marking shoes like Hundred
-
Never allow any external items or food articles on the court mat except badminton gear
-
Avoid listening to other court owners' suggestions as their court environment, guidelines and rules will vary from yours
-
External tapes will wear out regularly and can be procured from any online websites
Pro Tips to Maximize Mat Life
-
Outdoor shoes should be removed and placed in a rack outside the premises
-
A dust absorbing mat should be placed at the entrance of the facility and must be regularly cleaned
-
Indoor non-marking shoes should only be allowed once they are inside the premises
-
Use indoor non-marking shoes only
-
Cover mats with a protective sheet if the court is being used for non-sport events
-
Always keep non-marking shoes on rent in your premises
Important Reminders
-
The maintenance frequency depends on the conditions and the usage intensity
-
Use of cleaning machines which may wear out the sports floor is strictly prohibited
-
The durability of your Hundred mat depends greatly on how consistently it's maintained
-
Proper cleaning isn't just about aesthetics—it directly impacts performance and lifespan
